The biggest independent trolley fair in the U.K. got under way this morning. West Midland based H S Hommers have extended this annual event to three days for 2014. From today until Thursday 6th, Plant buyers will have the option to select from around 250 different trolleys ranging from plugs to specimen palms in 30 ltr pots. A Turkish delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and growing region of Mersin visited the recent Salon du Vegetal in Angers. This also comprised representatives of ornamental growers and florist companies. The aim was to meet with professionals from the flowers and plants industry, and to present details of available plant material. The creation of future business with potential partners was also an essential part of the brief.

On February 4th/5th the Spring Fair took place on the site of Floralis Boskoop with the theme “Keen on Spring”. Groen-Direkt heralds Spring!

In a climate of near-spring temperatures, the Groen-Direkt Spring Plant Fair provided a plant fest to remember for its many visitors! This was held on February 4th and 5th at the ITC site at Noorwegenlaan in Hazerswoude, Boskoop. The event always marks the start of the season and the attendance during both days reflected this. There was an air of confidence for 2014 which was helped by the unusual calm and mild weather.
