A Very Proud Moment for Flower Carpet Pink!

The World Federation of Rose Societies recently inducted Flower Carpet Pink into its World Rose Hall of Fame at their triannual global meeting in Adelaide.

It is the first ever ground cover rose given this honour. This award is only given every three years, and there are only 17 previous recipients. The Flower Carpet Pink is from the Anthony Tesselaar Plant stable.

30 Year 'Bloom' Beyond Expectations!

“ We have always looked to promote plants that are exceptionally different. The World Federation of Rose Societies (from 39 different countries), have this year voted Flower Carpet pink to receive this exceptional honour.”

Anthony Tesselaar commented “Yes we are proud of both the plant itself and all the strategy and marketing that has gone behind this plant over the past 30 years. We still have have the first plants we received in 1989 in our trial gardens and they this year still look exceptional in their new spring growth.”

Masses of Blooms!

Anthony continues, “Later this month these bushes will be covered with masses of blooms looking as though they did when we planted them 33 years ago. Yes this Flower Carpet ground cover rose is an exceptional rose!”  Reinhard Noack is pictured here with Anthony Tesselaar in front of the original FC Pink Roses, planted in 1989.

Breeder Foresight

Long before Flower Carpet Pink rose’s release in 1989, Breeder Werner Noack had the foresight and the commitment to breed a mega-blooming, easy-to-grow, low-maintenance, chemical-free rose. His horticultural philosophy has been proved to be correct!

Now his son, Reinhard Noack, continues to expand the range of Flower Carpet varieties and colours, providing greater disease resistance and hardier varieties to the range of the Flower Carpet ground cover roses.
