Grower Alert for 'Straight' Exemptor

There are just two months for UK growers to place orders for ‘straight’ Exemptor, which they themselves incorporate into growing media.

“While increasing numbers of growers are successfully adopting an IPM approach to vine weevil control, many others are still highly reliant on Exemptor to control vine weevil and other pests,” says ICL’s Sales Development Manager, Martin Donnelly.

Revocation Schedule

“Exemptor revocation is slightly more complicated than usual, due to the fact it can be sold as ‘straight’ product or can be sold ‘ready incorporated’ into growing media mixes by ICL or other growing media manufacturers. With this in mind, ICL has issued clear instruction for important dates within the Exemptor revocation schedule for growers and distributors to use moving forward."

The schedule is as follows:

Great Britain and Northern Ireland: Dates for Exemptor Revocation

Revocation Action  :

3rd August 2020

All sales for distribution of straight Exemptor product are to finish both in to distribution and direct to growers.

6th January 2021

Last delivery date for growing media incorporated Exemptor.

3 February 2021

The final date for Exemptor (disposal, storage and use) by all end users.

*Orders will be dependent on availability of stock. Date is for ICL Levington Advance professional growing media only and will differ depending on growing media supplier.

Growers Take Note!

“It is important for growers to take note of these dates and make sure that they put them on their calendars,” continues Martin. “The 15th December deadline date for incorporation orders for Levington Advance Solutions and Levington Advance Sustain is wholly dependent on stock availability, as such early orders are recommended in order to guarantee supply.”

The revocation dates for growers in the Republic of Ireland differ.
