Latest Technology Boosts Plant Sales
Gardeners are increasingly using the latest technology to source plants for their gardens. This is ahead of their visit to the garden/plant centre and continues when they are in-store.
Increased Website Visits
Cutting edge software innovations and hardware installations are helping to increase website visits and plant sales, according to one Norfolk Garden Centre.
Nick Haydon, Manager at Fakenham Garden Centre, said: “We introduced the 'Joy of Plants’ Plant Finder software two years ago. Our plant department web page is now one of our most visited."
“Buoyed by its success, last year we installed two freestanding, 'Joy of Plants’ Plant Finder touchscreen kiosks in our shop and outdoor plant area. This was labelled up customer information points. These provide an easy way of giving customers further information about the plants we have on display.”
Boost for Plant Area
Terri Jones, Managing Director of Joy of Plants (pictured top right) said: “The Plant Finder Touchscreen Kiosk guides customers to the plants a garden centre sells. This is like having a new team assistant in the plant area ready to answer any plant related questions".
